Platypus is fun to say.

| Well - my internet (and phone and cable) is down again. I was able to surf the web for a whole two days. I had fun working on the Comcast Triple Play commercial with John K. and crew - but so far, my Comcast Triple Play has been a big, fat Three Strikes and you're out of Service. I'm in the home stretch of my Marvel Card set run too - and I could really use the internet to reference characters. Oh well. They're all the same brooding muscleman with different masks. I'll just make it up as I go along! You can all still email me, and I will respond as quickly as I can get to a Wi-Fi hotspot. Those who have outstanding commissions from me can expect those to go in the mail shortly. Thanks for waiting!! - Corbett |
![]() I've received more than a couple requests recently for a personal sketch card sale. Well ding dang if yer prayers haven't been answered, you cheapskates! ;) All personal sketch cards are currently $30 plus $5 shipping and handling. These are full color cards produced with a variety of mediums. I use pigment pens, Prismacolor markers, watercolor, colored pencil, and gouache. Cards are shipped in plastic sleeves and cardboard protected mailers. Contact me using one of the methods in the previous blog post! Thanks, gang! - Corbett Labels: sketchcards |
![]() I don't have much to Blog about of any interest these days. Between the graphic design work I'm doing right now, and the sizeable Marvel sketchcard set I'm working on, I have little to report that I would properly supplement my Blogging ouevre. (Can I get a OOV-RAH!) Seriously - you guys don't need to hear about what a great bagel I had this morning (Multi-grain. It was delightful.), or when I think that hangnail will heal (signs point to June). During my Blog's idle state you can rest assured that I'm still kicking (thanks to a nervous tick). I've received lots of messages since I arrived in Minnesota and I haven't gotten around to acknowledging everyone yet. I've been a bit of a jerk by letting all that correspondence grow until it was so immense, its importance was overlooked (just like Britney Spears). I'm finally (slowly) responding to my adoring (angry) fans (ex-friends), but here's some information to help rattle my cage. (PS: Business, freelance and commission correspondence is never ignored! Only good friends.) info AT artsyfartsystudios DOT com If you want a really good chance of me responding, don't message me on MySpace or throw a non sequitur on a LiveJournal post. Send a message to my personal email. I check my email all the time, and my inbox list is a constant reminder of who's trying to get my attention. I rarely go on MySpace anymore, and my LiveJournal is simply a Xerox® of my Blogger account. (818) 687-5704 Really, really want to get ahold of me? Call me! (Ugly stalkers prohibited. Sexy stalkers encouraged. ((Fire up that nite-vision monocular, Kristen)) ) I may not be able to answer your call right away - but you've a good chance of hearing back from me. And finally, if you're like me, and cherish the primitive act of writing letters (on paper, you teenage rapscallions!), you can perpetrate a pesky parcel and post it to my position at P. O. Box 68106 Minneapolis, MN 55418 I DO REALIZE that some of you HAVE tried these methods recently with limited success. I'm currently trying to correct that. Ed, Steve, Sam, et al . . . Al, Etta James, James Taylor, Taylor Dayne, Dane Cook. . .what was I talking about? Oh! (see how easily distracted I am??) Ed, Steve, Sam. . .and others - I'm aware of your existence, I promise! Post Script: You can also check the WebCam Chat box to the left. If it says ONLINE you can chat with me via AOL or iChat. I probably won't be chatting much until I get some of this graphic design behind me though. Labels: caricature, celebrity, Photoshop |
![]() . . .about caricatures, of course. Tom Richmond, MAD artist and all around swell guy, is up to part three in a series of articles on How To Draw Caricatures. Give 'em a look - and then bookmark his blog and be sure to check back for more. The tutelage that is offered through the blogging community and available to the general public amazes me. It was only a few years ago that this kind of stuff wasn't available. Not in this easy to acquire format. Take advantage!
